Full Specifications

Metalex Fire Shaft Doors are engineered to compartmentalise vertical shafts where smoke can spread fast. Built from fire resistant steel skins with reinforced frames, the doors use intumescent and smoke seals to reduce heat and smoke leakage. Ratings are available for 60, 90, and 120 minutes, supplied as tested assemblies with compatible hardware. Options include concealed hinges for a clean look, clear fire rated vision glass with proper rubber gasketing, and door closers or hold open units that release on alarm. Powder coated finishes resist corrosion, match building colours, and handle heavy traffic. Doors integrate with access control and the fire alarm for fail safe or fail secure operation as required. Correct gaps, drop seals where needed, and sturdy thresholds ensure reliable performance with low maintenance.
