Full Specifications

Metalex Lead Lined Doors are engineered to stop radiation leakage by using continuous lead sheets inside the door leaf and frame. Typical shield levels include 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 mm Pb, selected as per the layout, workload, and safety report. We ensure proper overlap at meeting edges, hinges, and lock cutouts to avoid shine paths. Frames are in GI or SS with lead backing, and door types include hinged or sliding, manual or automatic, with smooth operation for frequent use. Lead glass vision panels are available with matching Pb equivalence, factory sealed for hygiene and easy cleaning. Surfaces use hospital grade finishes, edges are flush, and gaskets control air and dust. Doors can integrate with access control and interlocks, and fire or pressure rated options are available on request. Supply and installation follow the guidance of the Radiation Safety Officer and applicable standards for compliance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your Radiation Safety Officer gives the shielding requirement after room layout and workload study. Common options are 1.0, 1.5, or 2.0 mm Pb equivalence.

Yes. The frame is lead lined, and hardware cutouts are designed to avoid shine paths. Overlaps at hinges and lock areas maintain continuous shielding.

Yes. We provide lead glass with matching Pb equivalence. The window is factory sealed, flush with the leaf, and easy to clean for hospital hygiene.

Yes. Hinged or sliding, manual or automatic, are available. Sliding models save space in narrow corridors and maintain shielding with proper overlaps and seals.

We follow the RSO guidance and the approved shielding plan. After installation, you can conduct leakage tests at joints and edges to confirm compliance.
